LinkedIn has recently analysed its data for the rising trends within the UK job market. The research has shown that AI roles are now highest in demand.

LinkedIn’s analysis covered the past 3 years of job adverts and recruitment through member postings.

What was analysed?

The analysis delved even deeper than just identifying roles, it collected data on top hiring locations for specific fields, gender distribution and successful applicants’ subsequent transition within roles.

What the data showed…

Topping the list is Artificial Intelligence Engineer – a role that involves the development of AI models and algorithms. Artificial Intelligence Researchers also made the top 10. With demand peaking in London, Bristol and Manchester.

Although topping the list, AI didn’t exclusively dominate the list which is good news for most. Other in-demand roles include Data Governance Managers, Energy Officers and jobs within the financial sector. Pilots, Radiographers and Account Executives made the top 25.

Rounding out the top 25 was an endearing role within the hospitality and tourism sector – the humble tour guide!
